The Lamb of God

We are not required to keep Passover under the Law… but that does not mean we ignore what it reveals. Passover is not just a Jewish tradition— it is a picture of Jesus from the beginning.

On this first day, God instructed His people to choose a lamb. “…Every man shall take for himself a lamb… Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year…” (Exodus 12:3-5)

The lamb had to be Perfect. No flaw. No defect. This was Not random, this was prophetic. “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!(John 1,29)

Jesus is our Passover Lamb. Sinless. Spotless. Chosen. This was Not just instruction, it required Faith. They had to Trust that what God Provided was Enough, because: “By Faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood…” (Hebrews 11:28)

This is why this Matters for us today. We are Not keeping a ritual, we are Recognizing what God Already Fulfilled through Christ.

What this means for us Today: Today is a day to Reflect on the Lamb. To Remember that JESUS was Not just a teacher or a prophet— He was Chosen to Die in your place. He is God!!

To slow down and ask: Do I truly understand the cost? Am I taking His sacrifice lightly? Have I fully Received what He did for me?

Simple way to apply this today: Take time today to Thank JESUS for being the Lamb. Not casually, but Intentionally. Think about Him and Pray. Read the Word and Acknowledge what He Did. Because Everything that follows in Passover starts with the Lamb.

John 1:29-34: “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of God Who Takes Away the sin of the world!

This is He of Whom I said, “After me comes a Man Who is preferred before me, for He was before me.”

I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.’

I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, “Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He Who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.”

And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from Heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.”

And I have Seen and Testified that this is the Son of God.’”

“We Worship You Jesus and give You Alone All the Glory, Honor, and Praise. Only You are Worthy!!! Amen”
