A life-changing prayer

The relationship between God and us humans is like a marriage between a man and a woman, both sides have to say “yes” to each other, otherwise there is no marriage.

God said “yes” to us when Jesus Christ, the 2nd person of the divine Trinity, came to earth and shed his holy blood for us on the cross of Golgotha so that we could be saved from hell. He took the punishment due to us upon himself so that we can be free, but each of us must confess to him that we are sinners and that we need him, the Messiah, to be cleansed from our sins because we cannot manage to become holy ourselves. Without this confession and conviction, everyone lives in rebellion against the Lord.

We must ask for God’s grace and mercy to be given a place next to Christ’s throne in heaven, this is essential! So if you are ready to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, you can pray the following prayer to Him.

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to you today to ask you to forgive me of my sins and to make me your child. Please save me from hell and take me to heaven when my time comes. I confess that I am a sinner according to your law and that I need your sacrificial death. I cannot cleanse my heart from my sinful nature, I cannot do it without you. Please change my character and make me an instrument of blessing to others and use me to build your kingdom.

Please come and live in my heart through your Holy Spirit so that I can understand and walk in your ways.

Please also heal my body and break any curse that may be on my life. I now confess that I belong to Jesus Christ and declare war on Satan and every demonic force! No addiction or any other bondage can destroy my life anymore because I now belong to Jesus Christ! I believe this with my heart, confess it with my mouth and receive it in faith.

I forgive the people who have wronged me.

Lord Jesus, I know that I do not deserve your grace, but I am glad that you offer it to me free of charge and I open my heart to you. Please protect me and guide me in your ways. I thank you for your mercy, glory be to your name, amen.

God is interested in you growing in His knowledge

As well as offering you this prayer for salvation, I would like to encourage you to read the Bible, as it will give you a deeper understanding of the things of God and guide your steps. Bible study will also protect you from the false teachings of churches and cults, so do yourself a favor and read the Bible.
